Many people are aware of the benefits of combining aquatic exercise with hydrotherapy. Because water, particularly warm water, can help improve flexibility and the massaging action of hot tub jets can help relax your muscles, your hot tub is an excellent place to stretch. We have put together a list of five quick and easy stretches that can be performed while in your spa. If you aren’t comfortable stretching while in your hot tub, each of these can be performed before or after to similar effect.
- Ankle Stretches
- This stretch can be performed while seated or standing. Alternate between rotating your ankle counterclockwise and clockwise for 20 seconds at a time. Switch ankles and repeat as needed.
